Reinvent yourself

Every moment I have the opportunity of choosing to look at things in a negative, dark way or in a positive light way. Did you know that you had that choice?

Reinvention has come up for me many times in my life. I reinvented myself when I left my parents’ house at ager sixteen and a half and went to the capital of Romania, Bucharest; from a small town in Transylvania to a metropolis. Then again when I left Romania and moved to Germany. When I left Germany and moved to the United States. How about the times when I invented myself as an artist at age ten and sold Christmas cards at my mom’s work? Or when I was a German tutor at age thirteen? When I was a translator and interpreter through my late teens and early twenties? Let’s not forget the summer job as a waitress at age fifteen, the pet sitter and walker gigs, the graphic designer through my thirties, and finally the hypnotherapist.

The invention o fus happens of many levels.

We reinvent ourselves over and over again or we stay the same. Our reinvention is a choice of growth and advancement. A desire to be more, to experience more, to explore ourselves anew.  We just don’t normally think about it that way. We just think How about that? And then we go do it.

Once upon a time there was a little four year girl  who one day told her Dad that she will go to America when she will grow up. Can you imagine the level of determination that this little girl had to have her dream fulfilled? Here I am in today, in America fulfilling a little girl’s dream for the past seventeen years.

How many times did you reinvent yourself? Pat yourself on the back and acknowledge how far you have gotten. Are you about to reinvent yourself now?
